Music and meaning

In this project I wanted to explore people, meaning and music. I asked people for a song and what it meant for them and then tried to capture an image of my representation of the song. I then combined the personal elements of my own designs and photos with their songs and reasonings on a vinyl cover. I have some photos below of designing them, first attempts and the finished outcome as well.

At first I had an idea to make them as CD covers but realised they would be too small. I also had an idea to present them just in picture frames but I did not like that as much as album covers.

This is a sketch of different ideas I had for photos for a song. On the next image along shows the final image I took for this one.

This is me designing and editing the album cover on Photoshop.
